The Marion County Public Schools Student Ambassador program will welcome 11 new members when the 2023-24 school year begins.
The new members were selected after completing an online application and participating in a group interview. They include:
Emma Albright - 10th grade
Britney Beaven - 10th grade
Will Blake - 11th grade
Jenna Bland - 12th grade
Aaliyah Bradshaw - 10th grade
Ryan Clark - 10th grade
Pailee Conley - 10th grade
Michaela Daugherty - 10th grade
Andrew Mattingly - 10th grade
Abigail Million - 10th grade
Isabella Sexton - 10th grade
Now in its tenth year, the MCPS Student Ambassadors program gives members the opportunity to serve as student spokespeople for the school district and represent the district at community and school events.
Members of the program speak at Board of Education meetings, organize the annual Young Leaders Conference, coordinate the Student Ambassador Teacher of the Year award program as well as a host of other student leadership responsibilities.
In all, fifty students in grades 10-12 will serve as student ambassadors for the upcoming school year.
