MCPS will once again provide meals for students during the summer, although the distribution of those meals will differ slightly from previous years.
From May 28 - June 14 the district will provide daily meals to students at the district’s summer camps.
For students not attending an MCPS camp, parents can pick up daily meals at Marion County Knight Academy May 28 - June 11 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Starting June 12, the district will move to weekly bulk meal distributions. The district will hand out bulk meal packages at Marion County Knight Academy on a first come, first serve basis with 1,500 meals bundles available. These meals will be distributed from 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm.
For either the individual meal or bulk meal distribution at MCKA, students do not need to be present, but meals must be picked up by a parent, grandparent, or guardian who will be asked to provide basic demographic information.
The bulk meal distribution schedule is as follows:
June 12th: 7 days of meals
June 19th: 10 days of meals
No meal distribution during the last week of June and first week of July
July 10th: 7 days of meals
July 17th: 7 days of meals
July 24th: 7 days of meals
July 31st: 6 days of meals
