Marion County Public Schools will once again hand out meals for children ages 1-18 this week at Marion County Knight Academy on Wednesday, June 19 from 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm. However, there are some changes from last week's meal distribution.
The pick-up route through campus will now begin at Glasscock Elementary to make better use of the entire campus (see map). Also, there will be two additional changes that should speed up the distribution process. Unlike the previous week, those picking up meals will not be required to provide demographic information. And at the distribution site, there will be spots for two vehicles to receive meals.
The school district also wants families to be aware of large dump trucks that will be delivering loads of dirt for a future project on the main campus. Although it should not interfere with the meal distribution, those picking up meals need to be aware of those vehicles as they will accessing parts of campus near the meal distribution.
