The following letter from the MCPS Transportation Department was sent home with affected students on Friday, October 25.
Dear Parents/Students,
Starting Monday, October 28th Bus Route 151 will be combined with Routes 153, 163, and 192. Please read below to see how the change will impact both pick up and drop off going forward. We appreciate your patience during this transition and feel free to call the Bus Garage at 270-692-4150 with any questions.
Bus 153 (Donna Turpin) – will now transport ALL students on Tatum Ln, Riley Rd (7:05 AM), Goose Creek Rd, Penick Rd (7:35 AM), and Deer Run (7:40 AM) along with current route except for Hwy 243.
• AM Route – Siloam Rd – Meyers Ln – Hwy 337 – Riley-Gravel Switch Rd – Riley Rd – Goose Creek Rd – Tatum Ln – Penick Rd – Deer Run – Baker Rd (7:45 AM) – GES – MCHS - LMS
• PM Route – LMS – MCHS – GES – Baker Rd - Deer Run – Tatum-Penick Loop Rd –Penick Rd – Tatum Ln – Riley Rd – Goose Creek Rd – Riley-Gravel Switch Rd – Hwy 337 – Siloam Rd – Meyers Ln
Bus 163 (Todd Simpson) – will add Heartland Dr (7:25 AM), Landers Creek & Simon Loop (PM)
• Route (AM) – Hourigan Ln – Landers Creek - Camel Ln – Lick Run – Poplar Corner – Mays Chapel – Willis Trail – Lynch Rd – Mays Chapel – Hundley Lane – Short Line Pk – Guthrie Mayes Rd – Heartland Dr – GES – MCHS - LMS
Bus 192 (Joe Buckler) – will add Wooldridge Ln, Dogwood and Hwy 243 (6:40 AM)
• Route (AM)– Beechfork Rd – Logan Hill – Logan Ridge Rd – Wards Branch Rd – Aliceton Rd– Rollertown Rd – Hwy 243 – Church St./West RR Ave – Danville Hwy – Beechfork Loop Rd – Grand Simpson Rd – Wooldridge Ln – GES – MCHS - LMS
Simon Loop – Bus 212 in AM @ 7:35 AM (Dalton Brockman), Bus 163 in PM (Todd Simpson)
Bus 191 (Bryan Clark) – will add Willis Trail (4:15) and Lynch Lane (4:20) in the PM only.
