MCPS Athletics Director Mike Holt recently released the following information concerning attending MCPS athletic events and ticket sales:

INFORMATION FOR ATTENDING ATHLETIC EVENTS HOSTED BY MCPS

TICKET SALES/ENTERING FACILITY

  • All ticket sales will be in advance. No ticket sales at the gate. Ticket prices are $5

    •  If feasible, all MCHS athletes/cheerleaders/band members will have the opportunity to purchase 4 tickets. These tickets are intended for immediate family/household members.

    • Middle school players will have the opportunity to purchase:

      • 2 tickets home basketball games

      • 4 tickets home football games

*Athletes should see their coach for purchase of tickets*

  • NO TICKET - NO ENTRY.  A TICKET MUST BE PURCHASED BY EVERY NON-PARTICIPANT. NO COACHES/OFFICIALS CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED

    • Community tickets for high school football games will be made available on Wednesday and Thursday the week of the game from 8:30 am - 9:00 am and 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm each of those days. Tickets will be sold in front of the Marion County High School fitness center. First come first served on the remainder of tickets. Limit two tickets per person.

    • AGES 10 AND UNDER ARE ADMITTED FREE BUT MUST REMAIN WITH AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES

    • Upon entering, the ticket holder will be asked to put the ticket in a box at the gate, and the ticket should have the name and phone number of the ticket holder. This information is needed in the event that the regional health department must conduct contact tracing.

    • Temperature will be checked and a health assessment conducted for everyone entering the facility.  Anyone with a temperature above 100.4 or has any symptoms will not be permitted to enter.

      1. Fever or chills

      2. Nausea or vomiting

      3. Congestion or runny nose  

      4. Sore throat 

      5. New loss of taste or smell  

      6. Headache 

      7. Muscle or body aches 

      8. Fatigue 

      9. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing 

      10. Cough  

 

ALL ATTENDEES MUST HAVE A FACE COVERING, AND IT MUST BE ON AT ALL TIMES EXCEPT WHEN EATING OR DRINKING.

 

SOCIAL DISTANCING

In all areas (bleacher seating, stadium chair seating, other areas), family units and those that traveled to the contest in the same vehicle should sit together while the entire group maintains a six-foot social distance from any other family or traveling group.

  • NO STUDENT SECTIONS WILL BE PERMITTED.
