Marion County Public Schools will return to in-person learning beginning Monday, February 1 as the district implements its Hybrid A/B schedule.
With this hybrid schedule, households have been categorized as either 'A' day or 'B' day. 'A' day households will attend in-person on Mondays and Tuesdays; 'B' day households will attend in-person on Thursdays and Fridays. Students will learn from home when they are not in-person including Wednesdays, which will be an NTI day for all students.
Last week, parents were informed whether theirs is an 'A' day or 'B' day household in messages sent out by MCPS. Families can also find this information by logging in to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
Parents can also choose to have their children remain enrolled in Distance-Learning full-time. Parents are asked to contact their child's school if they choose this option.
Households were assigned 'A' day or 'B' day as opposed to assigning students based on last name. This is because some families may have students with different last names in the same household, and assigning days by last name may have complicated the weekly schedule for some families.
Schools will also still have the option of bringing in small groups of students for instruction on Wednesdays as schools have done during Distance-Learning.
