MCPS families,
This week, the Kentucky Department of Education released the School Report Card data from the 2021-2022 school year, which includes information on the performance of schools in Marion County Public Schools.
This information can be difficult to filter through, so this message is intended to shed light on the district’s data and to help you better understand it.
First, it’s important to note that due to changes in the accountability system, these results can’t be directly compared to results from previous years. Instead, these results will serve as a baseline as we work toward improved student outcomes moving forward.
The information below represents highlights of the district’s performance. You can find more detailed information for each school by visiting the Kentucky School Report Card.
Each school received an overall score and a color rating (red, orange, yellow, green, and blue).
In the first image below, you’ll see the overall performance rating for elementary, middle, and high school. Next, you’ll find a chart with the score and rating for each individual school. Finally, you’ll see a series of graphs that show the school district’s performance relative to the state as a whole.
School Name | Overall Color Rating | Overall Score |
Calvary Elementary School | Green | 75.6 |
Glasscock Elementary School | Yellow | 55.9 |
Lebanon Elementary School | Orange | 46.2 |
West Marion Elementary School | Green | 75.9 |
Marion County Middle School | Orange | 46.4 |
Marion County Knight Academy | Orange | 43.9 |
Marion County High School | Yellow | 59.4 |
Families will also receive an individual student report later this semester. These will be distributed either during parent-teacher conferences or mailed home. Please take the time to review this individual report.
If you have additional questions about these results, please contact your child’s school.
