Announcements from the Classroom
PE Students - Make sure you are joining the Zoom meets. We will be going over Fitness components next week and participating in our fitnessgram test.

Band students - Be sure to bring your instrument with you when you come in person!

6th grade math (both houses) - All classes finished up their ratios, unit rates, and unit prices test this past week. The next unit will be over measurement conversions (metric and imperial).

6th grade ELA (both houses) - We will wrap up any loose ends with Unit 1 and move on to begin exploring the differences in fiction vs nonfiction.

Camelot Reading with Mrs. Vance - We started the novel Holes for the third nine weeks. Please make sure to stay up with the daily assignments. It's also very important to attend our Google Meet each day to discuss and review the chapters we are reading.

Camelot Social Studies - We will have a unit test covering India next week.

7th grade Social Studies (both houses) - We will have a test over the Islamic Empire on Thursday. Study guides will be given out on Monday, so make sure you have the correct answers. We will begin our new unit "Medieval Japan" on Friday.

Lancelot ELA: This week, we read “The Girl Who Fought the Nazis”, an article about a young girl who fought as a partisan during World War II. Next week, we will read “The Boys Who Fought”. This is about a group of young men who stood up against Nazi propaganda and censorship. Through both of these articles, students are learning how to determine the central idea of an informational text, analyze how that is developed and how to analyze the interactions between individuals, events, and ideas across multiple articles about the Holocaust.

General Music: This class is starting its first unit on reading music rhythms. A unit playlist will be in Google Classroom on Monday. Students should complete the minimum required weekly levels through listening rhythm games in the online Theta Music app. A big shout out goes to Stephen McMurray and Kenneth Rawlings. They both have already completed over 20 levels in the Theta Music app. Excellent work!
