Here we are, at the last week of April and only 23 days of school left. It's so hard to believe! Even with the challenges of Covid, it has been a great year. We have a fantastic group of Knights!

Announcements from the Office
Please check infinite campus regularly as grades are updated each week.
If your child is completing late/missing assignments, please tell them to communicate which assignments they are completing to their teacher. This will ensure that the assignments get updated in IC correctly.

Please make sure students bring their Chromebook and charger on their library day. We are updating and auditing.

SMILE Club will meet Wednesday after school in Mrs. Burkhead's room.

Don't forget we have ESS opportunities for students every afternoon except Tuesday from 3:30-4:30.

Announcements from the Classroom
7th Grade ELA: We are so excited to wrap up the school year with the all-time favorite novel "The Outsiders."  This unit will begin next Monday, April 26th.

Camelot Social Studies - We will start our last unit on Rome next week.

6th Grade Art - We will work with plaster gauze and acrylic paint. They need to dress accordingly starting Tuesday (bring an apron or wear clothes they don't care to get things on).

Camelot Science with Mrs. Wood - We will continue with our "Motion and Force" unit with some hands-on experiences.

Merlin Social Studies - We will continue with our unit on ancient Rome.

7th grade Science - We are continuing our unit on chemical reactions.

6th grade Math - All students will have a math test on Wednesday. The test will be over algebraic/numberical expressions, their individual parts (terms, constants, coefficients, variables), solving by substitution, and simplifying by combining like terms.

ELA6 Camelot and Merlin - This week we began Unit 3: Arguments. We examined the 5 parts of an argument and discussed author's tone. Next week we will continue to read and analyze arguments by looking at strong vs weak reasons/evidence.
