We made it to May!! My kids had a great time watching the Derby and rooting for their favorite horse. The weather has been great this weekend - I hope you and your family were able to enjoy some sunshine.

There is a Band Booster meeting at 6:00 pm at MCHS band room. Any 7th grader student interested in being a part of the high school band needs to have a parent or guardian at the meeting.
MCPS is having another Performing and Visual Arts Virtual Showcase on Tuesday, May 25. Announcements from the Classrooms
ELA6 Camelot and Merlin - Next week we will take the Unit 3 Common Assessment over Arguments. We will use the last few weeks to review.
Camelot Science with Mrs. Wood - We will have a review on Tuesday and "Force and Motion" test on Wednesday, May 5th.
Reading with Mrs Wood - We will begin the graphic novel "El Deafo" by Cece Bell on Monday.
6th grade Art - We will work on a sewing project next week. Mrs. Peterson will review safety precautions with them since we will be using needles and hot glue. If there is any concern, please contact her at elyssa.holt@marion.kyschools.us.
7th grade math - We will have a Chapter 7 Percents test next week. All chapter assignments will be due at that time.
Pre Algebra students - We are in the middle of Chapter 8 on Graphing and Writing Linear Equations. It is important that they keep up with the assignments and participate in class. This is one of our hardest chapters for the year.
