We had such a great turnout at the Winter Wonderland formal last night! It seemed like the students had so much fun! Here are your announcements for the week.
Announcement from the Office
If you completed paperwork for your child to be seen at school by the Healthy Kids Clinic Dental Program, no further action is needed. If you did not complete the paper work or are unsure and want to participate, please contact Van Gadberry. They will be at MCMS February 9th.
There is no school on Monday, January 17th.
Report cards were given out in sixth period on Friday!
Congratulations to our Beta members! At state convention, we placed in jewelry, banner, math and social studies.

Camelot Science - Matter posters are due on Wednesday, January 19th. Enjoy your long weekend!
Social Studies with Mr. Burton - We have been working on Innovations of China Google Slide presentations. Students will present to the class on Tuesday, January 18th.
7th grade Social Studies - We started unit 5 Medieval Asia.
7th grade ELA - We began our unit on Informational Texts. Throughout this unit, we will read articles about the Holocaust and Civil Rights Movement. Please use this unit of study as an opportunity to discuss these events with your child.
Soccer
Any boys or girls interested in playing middle school soccer - there is a parent/player informational meeting on Monday, January 17th at 6:00 pm at Marion County Knight Academy gym. This is for boys and girls in grades 6-8. If you have a current physical, please bring it that night. The week of Feb 21-25 are possibly try out dates. 5th graders can come and try out, but will only play if there are slots available.
Lunch
Tuesday - Breakfast (sausage or ham biscuits) or pizza
Wednesday - Baked Ziti
Thursday - Chili or pizza
Friday - Fish or grilled cheese
*Students can also choose a salad or sack lunch.
