Recently, we’ve experienced issues with our mass messaging system. Specifically, when we’ve attempted to send voice messages, the recorded messages have not played.
We want to apologize for this problem and let you know we are working with our messaging provider to have it corrected.
In the meantime, our messaging provider has suggested we use the text-to-speech option (what some refer to as the robot voice) instead of recording a message when sending our calls. We’d prefer you hear an actual human voice when you receive those messages, but for now you might receive calls that use text-to-speech instead.

MCPS families,
As you may already be aware, recently the Kentucky legislature chose to override Governor Beshear’s veto of SB 1, meaning that the Kentucky Board of Education’s school mask mandate will be voided in five working days.
Previously, the governor had rescinded his school mask mandate.
Despite these changes, students in Marion County Public Schools are still required to wear masks while at school (unless otherwise exempted) based on the MCPS Board of Education’s decision to include universal masking of students and staff at the August 9 board of education meeting, which occurred prior to the governor’s and the Kentucky School Board’s decisions.
There will be a drive-thru COVID-19 testing clinic tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 10) from 8:30-10:30 at Marion County Middle School. This is open to the public (students, parents, community members) and no appointment is needed.
Reminder: There will be a drive-thru COVID-19 testing clinic today (Sept. 9) at Marion County High School from 3:30-5:30. This testing is open to anyone (students, parents, community members) and no appointment is needed.
Due to concerns related to COVID-19, the "Shining a Light on Mental Health" regional summit -- originally scheduled for Sept. 11 -- has been postponed until later in the school year. Those who registered to attend will receive an email with additional information.
Good luck to our boys soccer team as they take one Boyle County and our volleyball team as they take on Taylor County tonight!
Reminder: There will be a drive-thru COVID-19 testing clinic today (Sept. 7) at Marion County High School from 3:30-5:30. This testing is open to anyone (students, parents, community members) and no appointment is needed.
Happy Labor Day!
