There's a drive-thru COVID-19 testing clinic until 10:30 this morning at Marion County Middle School.
There will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow Friday, Sept. 3 in Marion County due to the anticipated number of staff absences and lack of substitute employees available. This will NOT be an NTI day.
MCPS has an unusually high number of staff members who will be absent due to a combination of illness and quarantines, and we are similarly limited in the number of substitutes available.
We are calling off school to avoid any potential issues related to supervision and student safety.
Don't forget: There is NO SCHOOL Monday, September 6 in observance of Labor Day.
If you haven't already, make sure you download the MCPS mobile app by searching for "Marion Co. Public Schools" in the app store. There you can find events, lunch menus, and receive push notifications with important announcements.

Our hearts are heavy today as we share in the sadness of the passing of MCHS Football Coach Rob Reader.
His spirit and joy for life made a lasting impression on all of those who knew him, both on the field and off.
Our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and his players.
We should all hope to live a life as meaningful and impactful as Coach Reader.

From MCPS Athletics Director Michael Holt: Due to COVID-19 protocols, there will not be an MCHS football game this Friday night as originally scheduled.
Due to food supply chain issues -- just like local grocery stores are experiencing -- we are not receiving all of the food we order from our distributors. Our cafeteria staffs are working tirelessly to ensure we follow the posted menus but at times that will not be possible.
