Welcome back to Marion County Public Schools!
From the MCPS Transportation Department: There have been some adjustments to bus routes for this week. The primary routes impacted are for buses 112, 193, and 202. Students on these routes may have a different numbered bus than usual and pick-up times may be affected.
Please have students ready for bus pick-up 15-20 minutes earlier than normal to account for these changes and please continue to do so until normal route schedules can be determined.
Thank you for your patience, and we will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.
At Monday night’s Special Called meeting, the MCPS Board of Education voted to amend the MCPS Return-to-School plan to include universal masking for all students and staff, regardless of vaccination status, unless otherwise exempted (e.g. cannot wear a mask due to a disability).

We're sharing this information we received regarding the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT). For more information, please contact the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
Kentucky has been approved to provide summer P-EBT benefits as offered by the USDA. Please note the following important aspects of the approval:
• All eligible students will receive the same total benefit amount of $375 for the covered summer period. The benefit will be a one-time deposit to the existing cards that should occur in August.
• Summer P-EBT is an “extension” of the 2020-2021 P-EBT benefit, so all students that ended the school year as eligible will automatically receive the benefits, including students that graduated. Students that are newly enrolled during the summer for next school year are NOT eligible.
• The predominant learning model that was used at the end of last school year will have no impact on eligibility, i.e. students that were In-Person or Hybrid at the end of the school year will receive the full benefit amount.
MCPS will conduct pre-K screenings on Aug. 13. If your child will attend MCPS pre-K for the 2021-22 school year and you have not already completed pre-K screening, please contact our Early Learning department at (270) 692-3721 or by email: ashley.jewell@marion.kyschools.us.
